Onion Juice for Hair Growth (works in 95% of people)
5 Tried and Tested ways for the use of onion juice for hair growth at home.
It's been my observation that men and women who eat raw onions with their meals have thick beautiful hair. It seems there is a connection between onions and good hair from my research.
Onion are packed with two amazing ingredients Sulphur and Quercetin that can help to boost hair growth. Our hair is made up of a special protein called keratin which is high in sulphur. The presence of sulphur gives hair its strength and elasticity, while its lack may cause weak, brittle hair that is easily broken. Sulphur also boosts blood circulation, bringing oxygen and nutrients to scalp, so hair can grow healthy and strong.
Onions are also very high in plant nutrients called quercetin, this is a powerful antioxidant and antiinflammatory.
It helps to get rid of free radicals which can harm the cells of the the body (including hair cells). It also protects our hair and skin from air pollution and other toxins.
Besides, onions are a good source of biotin (often touted as the 'hair growth vitamin'). Flavonoids, manganese, copper, vitamin C, phosphorus, and folic acids - all very important for healthy and shiny hair.
It has been scientifically shown that topical application of onion juice can help with hair loss. A study of published in the journal of dermatology looked into the use of onion juice for alopecia areata (an autoimmune condition that causes patchy hair loss). Within six weeks of using onion juice, 86.9% of participants experience new hair growth in the bald spots. Men had better success with this treatment than women.
The good news is that there is ampel anecdotal evidence to support onion juice benefits.
I have heard from family and friends that onion juice can promote thick hair growth. Also, I have read hundreds of comments online where many people were singing praises for onion.
